1. File Processing Structure

Most of the tools on Tools1984 operate entirely on the client-side. With this method, files are not uploaded to the server, cannot be seen by third parties, and are not stored by the platform.

Image conversion, compression, and resizing operations occur entirely on the user\’s device.

2. Server-Side Processing Tools

Some tools (like the PDF merger) temporarily process files on the server due to their processing logic. In these cases, the following security protocols are applied:

Files are kept in a temporary directory only until the processing is completed.
As soon as the process is finished, they are automatically deleted by the system.
External access to server directories is blocked.
Files cannot be viewed by third parties in any way.

Important Note: All files processed on the server are automatically deleted permanently within 1 hour at the latest.

3. Data Retention Policy

Tools1984 does not retain any files for a long time. Processes performed on the client-side do not leave your device; server-side processes are kept only as long as technically necessary.

For image tools → no file uploads are made.
For PDF tools → the maximum retention period is 1 hour.
Files are automatically deleted and cannot be recovered.
Files are not subject to any analytical, advertising, or commercial processing.

4. Technical Security Measures

The Tools1984 infrastructure is protected by modern security standards:

Encrypted connection over HTTPS
Firewall protection and intrusion prevention systems
Abuse and bot prevention mechanisms
Server security patches and regular maintenance processes
Isolated temporary folders
Hash mechanisms that preserve data integrity

Files uploaded by the user are never analyzed, copied, or processed for commercial purposes in the background under any circumstances.

5. User Responsibilities

While Tools1984 provides a high-security environment, users are also responsible for ensuring their device and browser security.

It is recommended to use an up-to-date browser and operating system.
Files containing malicious content should not be uploaded.
Care should be taken when processing personal files on shared devices.
