Merge Images and Create PDF

Combine multiple images into a single PDF file. This tool solves the task of “converting images to PDF” with two ready modes: Document PDF (multi-page output like document/receipt/invoice) and Collage PDF (organized presentation on a single page). It is designed to convert images taken with a phone into a neat, shareable, and archivable PDF without hassle.

What does the tool do?

  • Takes images like JPG/JPEG/PNG/WebP and produces a single PDF.
  • Reduces the user’s decision burden with two ready presets (you already have them):
    • Document PDF: Each image on a separate page, fitting to A4.
    • Collage PDF: 2×2 grid on A4 landscape, white background.
  • Consistently displays PDF outputs across devices: reduces issues like “not opening on WhatsApp”, “messy email attachment”.
  • Does not alter the original images; produces a PDF output.

Mode 1: Document PDF

Transforms documents taken with a phone into a “proper document in a single file”. The goal of this mode is not aesthetics, but readability and archiving.

Default settings (ready preset)

  • Page: A4
  • Layout: Fit (no cropping, aspect ratio preserved)
  • Margin: 10mm
  • Quality: Balanced

Output logic

  • Each image you upload will be a separate page in the PDF.
  • Due to “Fit”, no content is cut off:
    • If the photo is vertical, there may be top-bottom space on the page.
    • If the photo is horizontal, there may be left-right space on the page.
  • This behavior is intentional: in document work, the risk of “did it crop?” is unacceptable.

When is it used?

  • Invoice/receipt, delivery note, shipping document
  • ID/license photos (multi-page process)
  • Signed documents, applications, document archive
  • Processes that require a single PDF saying “I am sending a file” (accounting, HR, legal)

Benefits to the user

  • Instead of adding 15 photos one by one, sends with a single PDF.
  • The receiving side does not get confused about “which page belongs where”.
  • File management becomes easier: name, archive, share.

Mode 2: Collage PDF

Arranges multiple images on a single page and produces a PDF. The goal of this mode is presentation and comparison.

Default settings (ready preset)

  • Page: A4 landscape
  • Layout: 2×2 grid
  • Spacing: 12px gap
  • Background: White

Output logic

  • If you upload 4 images: 1 page / 2×2 grid.
  • If you upload 5–8 images: 2 pages (each page 2×2).
  • With more images, the number of pages increases; the layout does not change.

When is it used?

  • Before/After comparisons
  • Product set: “4 angles” on a single page
  • Agency revision summaries (clear presentation to the client)
  • Report attachments: consolidating “visual evidence” on a single page
  • Marketplace/image approval processes

Benefits to the user

  • Displays 4 images on a single page; sharing via email/PDF looks professional.
  • Thanks to the white background, it looks “clean” everywhere.
  • Since the spacing (gap) is fixed, the image does not look “messy like a collage”, but remains organized.

How to use? (step by step)

  1. Upload images Multiple select / drag and drop.
  2. Select mode
    • Document PDF
    • Collage PDF
  3. CreateThe system generates the PDF.
  4. DownloadYou will download a single PDF file.

Expected behaviors (eliminates confusion)

In Document PDF:

  • No cropping. Content is not cut off.
  • If the image is curved (crooked shot) it does not correct; this is the job of a separate tool (perspective correction).
  • Uses “balanced quality” for readability; keeps file size under control in very large photos.

In Collage PDF:

  • The grid is fixed: 2×2.
  • The arrangement of images is based on order:
      1. image top left
      1. image top right
      1. image bottom left
      1. image bottom right
    1. image continues from the top left on the second page.

Common mistakes and how the tool prevents them?

  • “I made a collage of the document photo, it is unreadable” That’s why there are two modes: separate page for documents (Document PDF) is the right choice.
  • “If it were Fill instead of Fit, it would have cropped” Fit is selected in document mode; eliminates the risk of cropping.
  • “I want to put 4 images on a single page” Collage mode is perfect for this; 2×2 grid and white background are ready.

FAQ

How many pages will Document PDF have?

It will have as many pages as the number of images you upload. 12 images = 12 pages PDF.

What happens if I upload more than 4 images in Collage PDF?

Every 4 images will move to a new page.

Will the quality of the images decrease?

The goal of “balanced quality” is to maintain readability without bloating the file. Users aiming for professional print quality are looking for the “high quality PDF” preset, not this tool.

Does this tool merge PDFs?

No. This tool creates PDFs from images. PDF merging is a separate tool.
